Fathers Day 2008

Today was Fathers Day in Australia, so we all went into town to buy Dah a couple of new shirts and to drop of Nanny Ronnie and Granddad Steve, so that they could have a look around. It was VERY tricky all fitting into our small VW Golf, but we managed it in the end.

I scored a couple of great casual shirts, which I picked and paid for myself, as I'm very fussy about what I wear. The best present though, was a double kiss from Jarvis and Felix, which made me so happy.

Outside Myers department store we saw a balloon blowing clown, who we've seen before. He's very, very good and entertains the little people and adults so well. All the little people make contribution for their balloon, which is great, as he so deserves it.

We then walked down an old fashioned shopping lane, that Jarvis has nicknamed Diagon Alley, as it looks a bit like that old lane from the Harry Potter books and movies. In the alley, Adrienne and Jarvis gave each other a shoe shine. The best bit though was going into Haigs chocolate shop, where I scored another Fathers Day present, some chocolate covered almonds - yum.

Once home, Jarvis opened this weeks toy that he bought with the money he recieves if he gets enough stickers on his chart. He was after and scored a Test Tube Alien, as he'd seen one at Tommie and Sophie's once. It took a while to prepare, which is all part of he fun, but now he has to look after it and take care of the thing for the next few months. It will be a good idicator as to whether he'd be comitted to looking after a pet. My call, is that he's too young. We'll see.
