Home Day - I Love My Becs

After our easy day yesterday, I thought we'd try and attempt our very first total Home Day. It started off OK, with a nice lazy session of laying on the couch watching TV, followed by a bath. However, by 10.30am I was busting to get out, as were the boys, so drove to a local camping shop and then onto a toy shop for something to do. The final part of our trip out was to grab some McDonald's, as the boys were getting on so well.

After lunch had gone down, we made the most of the gorgeous weather and played in the backyard for a couple of hours. I had filled both the wee pools up in the morning, so by 1pm they were as warm as a bath. We set up one pool to splash and play in and the other was set up with a slide going into it. We also emptied out some household cleaning bottles, so that we could squirt water at bugs. I had an immense flashback to when I was growing up and living in Welling. I vividly remembered begging my Mum for the washing up liquid bottle, so that I could have water fights with the other kids in our street.

By about 3pm we had, had enough of the sun, so moved inside to cool down and have some quiet time. After a while though, we got bored and for some unknown reason decided to suck our hair up into the vacuum cleaner! It was great fun and both boys loved it. Jarvis hair was the best to do though, as Felix and I have straight hair that flops back down again, whereas Jarvis goes into a mad Afro. It was hysterically good fun.

Just as we were beginning to get bored we had a surprise visit from Jarvis favorite buddy Becs, who has been overseas for the last 5-months. Jarvis tells us that he loves Becs all the time and even talks about her in his sleep. It's not surprising, as Becs is a great person and so good with Jarvis and Felix. Anyway, Becs turned up with some presents for the boys from her trip. They both scored a t-shirt and stacks of lollies, which they devoured. Once they overdosed on sugar, Becs buggered off, leaving me with two crazy boys!

Still a great day though :o)
