Jarvis, Adrienne and Felix drove north on Saturday morning to attend Dane's second birthday. I could not make it, as I was tired after a very early and long bush run with my club. Looking at the pictures, it looks like I missed out on a great time and some great food. Dane's parents are Chinese/Vietnamese and I remember the food at Dane's first birthday was AMAZING lat year. Did they bring me some back - NO!
At the party the guests had to make pizzas, their own chefs hats and participate in loads of fun games. Jarvis had a wonderful time and came home absolutely shattered.
Bugger, I'll have to go next year to score some yummy food ;o)
Sunday 9th November
Jarvis best buddy at school is Olly, who he just adores. Both boys could have been cast from the same mold, as they are both full of life and live it at a million miles an hour. Anyway, Jane, Olly's Mum and I have been talking for ages about getting together for a play date and we organised one for this morning at Luna Park. Both boys love Luna Park, so we were onto a winner from the start.
As I had a day off yesterday, I decided that I would not run this morning and join the family on their trip out. To be honest, with Felix speeding this way and that, it would have been a nightmare for Adrienne to have done it on her own.
Luna Park is very cool and as soon as we entered I bumped into a very good friend of mine, Lily, who was made up in all her costume. Jarvis was so impressed that I knew Lily that he's still talking about it tonight.
The boys went from ride to ride as I kept Felix entertained, which is just fine with me, as I'm not too keen on rides anyway. I did get pressured into going on the big slide though, which absolutely scared me to death! The coward gene certainly has not been passed onto Jarvis though, who went on everything he was allowed to for his height.
The thing he enjoyed most of all, as you can see from the pictures below, was the air vent, that blasted air out at high intensity. Jarvis spent ages standing over it and was stoked that it blew the saliva out of his mouth and up around his face - ewwww!
In total, we spent 3-hours at Luna Park and as expected, both boys were fast asleep within minutes of being in the car. So it was a quick transfer into their beds and a lovely, long Sunday afternoon nap for the whole family.
A wonderful weekend ;o)

Wow! I can't believe how much the hair cut has changed the look of Jarvis! For a thing as simple as a hair cut, it sure has made him look older...Of course he is still just as handsome though! :-)
The pictures of him over the vent are VERY funny! Looks like a very fun time.
