Friday Funday

Jarvis was delighted to find a package on the front doorstep this morning. It was a present from Nanny Ronny and Granddad Steve in the UK. Along with some socks, where two Next hoodies for the boys, which despite the heat being in the mid-twenties, they insisted on wearing for a while. So thanks guys, they'll be a perfect fit come winter.

The summer holiday strategy of having a day at home then a day out seems to be working well and has kept me from burning out so far. Today was a day out day, which we spent at Little Dynamo's. As it was a sunny day, the place was pretty empty, which suited us just fine. It does tend to get a bit hot and stuffy in there on warm days, but keeping the boys hydrated fixes that, as boy do they sweat after 4-hours of non-stop playing.

Luckily we were all burnt out on our return and the boys both managed a three-hour sleep, which was perfect, as it was Adrienne's last Christmas function later that night, so I got in a wee nap too.

Two wonderful things happened for Jarvis at 6pm. The pizza arrived, which is a favorite thing for Jarvis AND his best buddy Becs came to play. Jarvis ADORES Becs, which is understandable, as she is one very cool woman. Becs always has a great yarn and it one of those non drama type people, who always seems to be happy and positive. So yeah, Jarvis was in heaven with pizza and Becs. And to make things even better, he got to show Becs his MarioKart skills.

So all in all, the day worked out perfectly an now we are in countdown mode until Christmas - Bring it on :o)

House Dad.
