Again the weather was pretty poo in Sydney this morning, so we drove over to Bondi Junction Mall, as we needed to get some new shoes for Felix and I. The shopping went pretty well, aided by my ability to redirect Jarvis fairly easy, avoiding any unnecessary tantrums. Buying the shoes was easy, however avoiding the embarrassment of Jarvis telling practically everyone in the mall we passed, to look at my new shoes, was harder.
On the drive home, as expected, both boys fell asleep and were deposited nice and safely into the lounge, where they both snored away for the next 90-minutes. It was perfect, as I got to fix myself some lunch and do some cleaning and washing. Non-parents are probably thinking, well why didn't you sleep too. I'd love to, but I try and do as much preparation for the coming hours as possible. If I can do some prep for dinner and get stuff ready for the boys, then that will make for a much easier afternoon, which makes life easier for me. Saying that, I'm still frazzled and at my wits end when Adrienne gets home.
Miraculously the sun came out in the afternoon, so we thought we'd test out our new shoes. Also the boys were busting to get outside, which I can't blame them for wanting to do. We thought that we'd take a wander down to the balloon shop and buy a couple of balloons. We did just that and left the shop with a clear balloon with stars for Jarvis and a pink Princess one for Mumma, that the boys picked.
So all in all, a lovely day, but hell and I exhausted. It's tough work looking after little people aye.
House Dad.

I am borrowing my friend's Navman and it rocks!! I am hopeless at getting around, even if I've been somewhere before...really hopeless! What did we do before GPS systems...Your boys are getting so big now, loving the updates on Felix's site too by the way :) Bex.
