Wednesday, Thursday And Friday Stff

The last three days have been pretty much run of the mill stuff for Jarvis, as I've had to put a fair bit of time in with Felix, who has been down with a cold and teething issues. There has been a few highlights though, most notably when on Wednesday we had a house full of guests. It all happened when we got out of the car at home, after school. Just as we unpacked, Nicole, her Mum Bronwyn and wee Tahlia came walking by. It was too chilly to stand outside, so everyone came in for a play and cup of tea. Shortly afterwards, as they do most days Signe, Betty and Evie arrived. This meant that our shoe box house was full to the rafters we little people having fun and adults chatting and drinking tea. It was wonderful.

Jarvis has had his first session with his Speech Therapist this week. It went well and the expert said: Jarvis went very well today. When he learned that Mummy let him come and
play with me with me he jumped up and down! He wouldn't leave until I told him that he could come back and play again. His speech is delayed which is a shame for such a bright boy. So far I have completed the phonological (sounds) test and half the language testing. Will see him again next week. So yeah, it is delayed, however we are happy that it has been picked up and can now be worked on.

Today Jarvis took in a chocolate birthday cake to share with his school buddies. He was so delighted with the cake that his beloved Mumma bought the night before, that he had to show all the parents waiting to drop their wee ones off. Cleverly, Susannah, Almut and Laura, his Teachers waited until just before class finished to cut it up and serve it to the class. The parents were then greeted by 20-odd chocolate covered and sugar rushed little people! Clever Teachers, they've obviously learned from experience not to fill up the little ones with cake during the day. Can you imagine that, the chaos.

House Dad.

PS. Prompted by Bex's comment in the last post, I battled tiredness and have done a post on Felix's blog. Now I'm off to bed.
