Jarvis wanted to take his Nanny Trish to a beach today, so I thought the best place to go would be Balmoral, which is near Sydney Zoo. It's a great beach, as it has a play ground metres from the sand and a few places to get coffee and food. It's also a harbor beach, so doesn't have any big waves, which is just right for little people.
Dah being Dah, was fully prepared for the beach, with swimming togs and towels, just in case the boys wanted a splash, which of course Jarvis did. It was funny, as all the other little people were wrapped up in jerseys, jackets, hats and scarfs, while our to Kiwi boys were in their togs and getting some lovely winter sunshine on their bodies. It was about 22-degrees and the sun was shining, so a good day to strip down and splash.
As Trish pointed out, wee Jarvis is quite the runner, which pleases his Dah no end. Jarvis delighted in running up and down the beach, starting of course, with getting into the ready-steady-go position. Jarvis and I even had a 20-metre race, that Jarvis won. I truly did try, but I'm still very sore from the weekends 25-kilometre race. That's my excuse for being beaten by a four-year old and I'm going to stick to it.
On the beach Jarvis, with the help of his Nanny Trish built a really cool sand castle, that included knights, dragons and a princess, who was no doubt his beloved Mumma. He had just the best time playing with his Nanny Trish and was such a good boy for her.
So yeah, a wonderful, wonderful day at the beach for all of us. I'd better finish now, before Jarvis comes out again, like last night and tells me to go to bed!
House Dad.
