Nanny Trish Is Here

Jarvis is really into books at the moment and our day started out with me reading him one of Adrienne's childhood favorites, Milly Molly Mandy. He also scored a Simpson's cartoon book when we did the shopping yesterday and spent hours and hours just looking over the pages, again and again. I remember doing that as boy too.

Today, as it has been for a while now in Sydney, was nice and sunny, so we thought we'd take a walk down Parramatta road to check out firstly the camping shop and then Kids Stuff toy shop. Parramatta road is very, very busy and not at all pleasant to walk along, so we took some back streets and had a wonderful time exploring.

Ray's Outdoors is one of our favourite places to shop, as it's full to the rafters with cool outdoor stuff, like kayaks, tents, knifes and heaps and heaps of other wonderful stuff. Today I bought a thermos flask, as we've decided that I need to take on warm sweet fluids when I finish a run, as I want to avoid any more episodes of passing out, as I did after yesterdays run. So it'll be sweet hot tea for me, from now on...just like EastEnders...I'll put the kettle on luv!

After the camping shop, we popped into Kids Stuff, but could decide on what Playmobil farm thing to buy with the money that Nanny Ronnie and Granddad Steve sent over from England for Jarvis forth birthday. Instead, we took a brochure home to read, which Jarvis fell asleep reading after we returned. He was so tired after falling out of bed at 4.30am.

The rest of the afternoon was spent playing with 'his' Becs, which will be the last time that he sees his best buddy for the next four-months, as Becs is going overseas, to get drunk, see the sights and get drunk some more!

Then after dinner it was off to the airport to pick up his Nanny Trish, who he's been busting to see for ages and ages. He was so excited and couldn't stop telling his Nanny that he loved her, It was so sweet to hear. Nanny Trish came bearing gifts too, of more Playmobil farm accessories, that we duly opened and set up on his wee farm. So we've one very happy wee boy now.

House Dad.
