The trip from Sydney to Melbourne was a breeze, as our boys have flown so many times now. Also it was only about a 90-minute trip, which is so much easier than the flights we've taken back home to New Zealand. Jarvis was a dream and watched Nick Jr on the wee TV screen the whole way, even eating his lunch with his headphones on.
The drive from the airport to Mount Eliza was a piece of cake, as we bought our TomTom satellite navigation, so no wrong turns for us. It took about an hour, which was just about right, as everyone except me had a wee sleep.
On arrival we were blown away by the old gate house building as we drove in, with Jarvis even commenting that it looked like a castle. Little did we know then that this would be where we'd be staying for the next week. It's wonderful and we can make us much noise and mess as we want, as it's about 500-metres from the main complex.
As it's all private grounds, with hardly any traffic, Jarvis was allowed the VERY VERY rare privilege of sitting on my lap and steering the car for the very short drive down to the main estate house for dinner - he was stoked.
House Dad.
