Kid Bugs!!!

So where have we been the last three days? Well Adrienne, Jarvis, Felix, Lee, Nanny Ronnie and Granddad Steve, have either been sitting on the loo with diarrhea or with our heads in bowls vomiting. Ah yes, that lovely bug gastroenteritis, that sweeps through children and adults with stealth, came to stay with us for a few days.

It all seemed to start on Wednesday night with Felix coming down with diarrhea, that smelled like no other diarrhea I've ever experienced. It stank like fish and was just horrific. Then on Thursday night, one by one, we all succumbed to the bug with varying degrees of severity over the next couple of days. We didn't even see Nanny Ronnie and Granddad Steve for the whole of Friday, as they were bed ridden out the back!

Thankfully, by today, we all seem to be recovered, if a little slow on our feet. We were all well enough though to get outside and enjoy the unusually hot day, which hit a high of 31 degrees (88 degrees Fahrenheit), that's 11 degrees higher than the average for this time of year. Jarvis and Felix even stripped down and had a play in the pool. However, come 3pm, everyone was fast asleep, recovering from a truly awful couple of days.

Then this evening, after our traditional Saturday night pizza, we all watched The All- Blacks beat Australia 28 - 24 to win both The Bledisloe Cup and Tri-Nations....woohoo!!!

Oh, the first two pictures I've posted are from Wednesday nights bath, when I put Jarvis hair in a ponytail, so that he could look like a pirate. I was shocked to see how much he looked like his beloved Mumma when she was a wee girl. Scary stuff!

House Dad.
